"The program has helped me to work towards getting my GED. I recently took the exam and passed. I feel like if it wasn’t for this program I wouldn’t have reached my goals, or would have a chance to make it in life. I would have also been in a shelter or homeless. I would like to thank Ms. J, Mr. P., and Mr. U. for all the help and for believing in me. The program gave me a new beginning and it's my choice to finish it."
"I have become successful in each area and obtained my long term and short term goals that I have set out for myself when I became a client...If anyone wants to know what ITSOC means to me. It is my support system, my family, my friend, my network and my home away from home."
"ITSOC is like the little beam of light in the forest. It doesn't promise to chop away the bushes but a guide to make it through the forest on your own. I came in to ITSOC right after my sophomore year of college. ITSOC has been very helpful to me and my son, by helping to secure housing, making sure I received my discharge grant almost six months after leaving foster care, and having educational workshops which can be applied immediately in real-life situations."
